Nagi Seishiro, a second-year high school student, lives his days listlessly. That is until his classmate Mikage Reo, who dreams of winning the World Cup, discovers his talent. Nagi starts playing soccer at Reo’s invitation, and displays overwhelming soccer talent. One day, he receives an invitation to the “Blue Lock (Blue Prison)” project. There, he meets Kiyotaka Seichi, Harakura Kai, Itoshi Rin and other handfuls of the best strikers from around the country. The challenge to become the best in the world that he begins with Reo takes the genius Nagi to a world he has never seen before…
