What did you think of this film?
This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.
Are There Any Extras During The Credits? Yes
- After the title card, the “fake credits” appear with James getting credit as writer and director, and Henry and Ed as the producers. The cast is then listed, naming every single Minion that appeared in the movie. Then comes the first scene where Kevin, Stuart, and Bob find the book of magic spells. They look over and see young Gru and his (normal) dog Kyle standing by a fire hydrant. Stuart invokes a spell and the normal dog turns into the ugly and vicious Kyle that we’ve seen in the other Despicable Me movies. Kyle starts chasing Gru and the Minions.
- Kevin, Stuart, and Bob standing by an open doorway. Stuart invokes another spell and a portal opens in the floor outside the doorway. Dr. Nefario walks through the doorway and falls into the portal and disappears. Kevin yells at Stuart to do something so he invokes another spell. A second portal opens in the ceiling above the first portal and we see Dr. Nefario continuously falling from the ceiling portal to the floor portal. Stuart says something that contracts the portal opening and Dr. Nefario gets stuck with his legs dancing from the ceiling while his upper body is stuck in the floor. Kevin picks up a broom and starts poking at Dr. Nefario’s butt and the Minions have a good laugh.
- Kevin, Stuart, and Bob stand together and invoke another spell together. Larry appears, and the three appear a bit confused. Kevin says the correct spell and Larry changes into Lorinda, a Minion with long blond hair and a red dress.
- Bob and Agnes use the spell book and invoke the large, angry pink bunny monster. It roars, but Bob and Agnes think it’s cute, hug it, and run away. The bunny laughs and chases the two offscreen.
- Bob and Stuart use the spell book to conjure up a cat with Gru’s face. After hearing it meow, they produce a sheep with Gru’s face. Then they make him into a penguin, and while they laugh the real adult Gru walks up behind them. Bob and Stuart then produce a pig version of Gru, and the real Gru finally coughs and makes his presence known. Stuart nervously looks through the book and invokes another spell which makes the adult Gru naked. Gru screams and runs offscreen while Stuart and Bob laugh.
- As the credits end, the woman singing holds a high note for an extremely long time and struggles to continue holding it, wavering and gasping at the end.
