Hobbs brings his daughter Sam home to Samoa to meet her grandma. Hattie and Shaw bring a “cake” to their mom Queenie in prison. Agent Locke calls Hobbs and tells him the Snowflake virus is safe but tells him about a new and worse virus. He is locked in a room and then we hear someone banging on the door. Then Agent Locke tells Hobbs that he needs an extraction. Hobbs contacts Shaw to tell him about a new mission. Then the police raid the cafe Shaw is in. The police shout “Come out, Hugh Janus” and then, Shaw hangs up the phone and says this is not going end well.

Everyone is back in New York and while Spider-Man is resting near Madison Square Garden, a news alert starts on the big screens. It plays a video message Mysterio left before he died saying “Spider-Man is attacking for some reason”, “He has already weaponized some Stark technology”, and “He’s saying he’s going to be the new Iron Man. No one else!”. We then see heavily doctored footage from a moment earlier in the film where Edith warns of significant casualties from a drone attack. In which Peter responds “I don’t care, execute! Execute them all!”. It is then revealed that J. Jonah Jameson (played by J.K. Simmons from the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy) from the Daily Bugle is the source of the clips. The broadcast then switches back to Quinton Beck who reveals Spider-man to be Peter Parker.

Maria Hill and Nick Fury are driving in their car when suddenly Hill turns into a Skrull and then Fury follows suit. They are actually Talos and his wife from Captain Marvel. After a brief conversation, Talos calls non-other than Nick Fury who first appears to be on a beach, but is revealed to actually be on a spaceship with other Skrulls. Talos urges Fury to return to Earth because everyone is asking where the Avengers are and he doesn’t know how to respond.

Woody, Bo, Duke Caboom, Ducky and Bunny help kids win prizes at carnival. After the kids win all the prizes, Ducky and Bunny say what they would do to the Axel the Carnie. Terrier Max (Patton Oswalt) is coping with some major life changes. His owner (Ellie Kemper) is now married and has a toddler, Liam. Max is so worried about protecting the boy that he develops a nervous tic. On a family trip to a farm, Max and mutt Duke (Eric Stonestreet) encounter canine-intolerant cows, hostile foxes and a terrifying turkey, all of which only elevates Max’s anxiety. Luckily, Max gets some guidance from veteran farm dog Rooster (Harrison Ford, making his animated-film debut), who pushes Max to ditch his neuroses, find his inner alpha, and give Liam a little more freedom.

Meanwhile, while her owner is away, plucky Pomeranian Gidget (Jenny Slate) tries to rescue Max’s favorite toy from a cat-packed apartment with a little help from her feline friend, Chloe (Lake Bell), who has discovered the joys of catnip.

And crazy-but-cute bunny Snowball (Kevin Hart) gets delusions of grandeur that he’s an actual superhero after his owner Molly starts dressing him in superhero pajamas.
