The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same?

A lonely boy gets off a school bus and slowly walks into school. Sitting alone in the playground while the other kids play, he looks up and sees a Buzz Lightyear toy descending down to him. He catches it and it says “I am Buzz Lightyear. To infinity and beyond!” He happily looks up to see other Buzz Lightyear toys descending into the hands of the other children in the playground. A teacher wars other kids to play nice but is interrupted when he catches a Lightyear toy for himself. He hides it behind his back and slowly backs away. While everyone plays with their Lightyear toys, a boy opens his backpack and pulls out a Zurg toy. It gives out an evil laugh and says “We meet again, my son.” Upon hearing that all the Lightyear dolls scream out “No!!”

As the credits end the toys perform a rap about working all summer to make a friend. As the song ends we hear Smart Pants yell out that he’s not a chair.

What did you think of this film?
Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.
Woody, Bo, Duke Caboom, Ducky and Bunny help kids win prizes at carnival.
After the kids win all the prizes, Ducky and Bunny say what they would do to the Axel the Carnie. They show an imaginary attack sequence where Bunny and Ducky grow to tremendous size and chase after the teenager running the game, blasting him with lasers from their eyes. Then Bo says “Why not get more toys tomorrow for the kids to win?”
Bonnie returns from her first day of 1st grade and tosses her bag into her room. Jessie emerges and reports that Bonnie had a great time at school, and actually made a friend. Jessie introduces a new toy made from a plastic knife, much to the joy of Forky. Forky said that he will explain everything on how to be a toy.

When the Pixar logo appears, instead of the jumping lamp, Duke Caboom comes out on his motorcycle and jumps on (and flattens) the letter “I”. And he finally gives a high-five to the action doll who was left hanging earlier in the movie.
