Crown Prince Gwanghae is in his castle with his top military leaders. They convey Admiral Yi’s last words. Then his Army Commander comes in and announces that Suncheon’s Yegyo Fortress has been reclaimed, effectively ending the war. The prince reflects on the violence that took place, and looks into the sky at the leader’s star. He explains the two reasons why the star seems so bright in the daylight: there’s a message yet to be told, or a deed yet to be done.
