At the dawn of the 20th century, life flows quietly in the home of Manuel Roca, a doctor living with his two children on a remote farm scorched by the sun in a frontier land. When four armed men arrive on the dirt road leading to their house, seeking revenge, Roca desperately tries to protect his children—but he is powerless against the brutality of the attackers.
Years later, Nina, now an adult and the sole survivor of the family, meets Tito, a traveling salesman. Their encounter may seem accidental, but both know it is not: Tito understands why Nina has come, and she has been searching for him. As a tense confrontation unfolds between them, it becomes clear that while the war may be over for many, it is not for everyone.
