One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first ever Fazfest.

Former security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have kept the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.

Scavengers from a haunted house break into the original Freddy’s to get genuine stuff for their place. They discover the original Spring Bonnie animatronic and cover it with a plastic sheet for later pick-up. As they leave one of Spring Bonnie’s eyes starts to glow and we hear a low-pitched growl.

As the credits end we hear a recorded message from Henry (Skeet Ulrich) to Mike in case he can’t deliver it in person. He reveals he was William Afton’s business partner and still has equipment that can track the animatronics. He starts to warn about the Marionette when he’s interrupted by noises from something breaking in. Henry tells Mike to get out and warns that “she’s coming for you” when the line goes dead and the recording ends.

We see a short clip from the original film where Janine (Annie Potts) gives Egon (Harold Ramis) her lucky coin before the climactic battle. Egon says that he might not make it and woulnd’t she need it? Janine replies saying that she has another one. The scene continues in the present with Janine holding onto the coin while talking with Winston (Ernie Hudson) about his career after the Ghostbusters business slowed to a crawl. He’s a very successful businessman now, but he states that he’ll always be a Ghostbuster. The scene continues in the old firehouse that serves as the Ghostbusters headquarters, with Winston opening the garage door and guiding in the beat-up Ecto-1 car. The scene ends with a shot of the blinking energy button on the panel of the ghost containment system. Then a new Ghostbusters logo appears with a Stay-Puft marshmallow figure in the no-ghost sign.

Lucky Prescott (Isabela Merced) never really knew her late mother, Milagro Navarro (Eiza González), a fearless horse-riding stunt performer from Miradero, a small town on the edge of the wide-open frontier.

Like her mother, Lucky isn’t exactly a fan of rules and restrictions, which has caused her Aunt Cora (Julianne Moore) no small amount of worry. Lucky has grown up in an East Coast city under Cora’s watchful eye, but when Lucky presses her own luck with one too many risky escapades, Cora picks up stakes and moves them both back with Lucky’s father, Jim (Jake Gyllenhaal), in Miradero.

Lucky is decidedly unimpressed with the sleepy little town. She has a change of heart when she meets Spirit, a wild Mustang who shares her independent streak, and befriends two local horseback riders, Abigail Stone (Mckenna Grace) and Pru Granger (Marsai Martin). Pru’s father, stable owner Al Granger (Andre Braugher), is the best friend of Lucky’s father.

When a heartless horse wrangler (Walton Goggins) and his team plan to capture Spirit and his herd and auction them off to a life of captivity and hard labor, Lucky enlists her new friends and bravely embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to rescue the horse who has given her freedom and a sense of purpose, and has helped Lucky discover a connection to her mother’s legacy and to her Mexican heritage that she never expected.

Then we cut to Captain America with a beard watching “missing” reports (as a result of the decimation) with Black Widow, he says what’s happened is like a nightmare, to which Black Widow says that she’s had better nightmares. James Rhodes comes in says that the thing (pager) has stopped flashing. They all gather around the pager, Rhodey says that it just stopped, Captain America says to reboot it and try again, Rhodey replies that they didn’t know what it did in the first place. Black Widow says that Fury knew what it did and they should just try again. The camera pans and we see Captain Marvel behind her asking: “Where’s Fury”. Also, near the end we see the text: Captain Marvel will return in Avengers: Endgame
