An epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years. The film follows the fantastical journey of transformation from shy piano prodigy Reginald Dwight into international superstar Elton John. We see moments from the movie compared side-by-side to the real-life photos of Elton John. These photos include nearly every single on-stage costume from the movie and throughout Elton’s life: a photo of him as a child, a photo of his family today, and how he has been since battling his addictions. (Sober for the past 28 years and counting; wanting to be a positive part of his children’s lives by spending more time with them; and finally being loved — by his husband.)
