Just after the credits begin, the camera pans back so show them playing on a television screen in a mental institution. As the camera continues to pan out, we see Nurse Brenda Bates turn the television off. She then walks to a man in a wheelchair that was watching the show, turns his wheelchair around to reveal Professor Solomon. The nurse leans over his shoulder and says “Don’t you just love that movie? I think we have a lot in common.”. She then wheels him away and down the hall to the Alfred Hitchcock theme.
