During the credits there are plenty of comedic out takes. Then there’s a short segment showing Mike Wazowski as the lead actor in the company play depicting Mike and Sulley’s adventures.
Nothing afterwards.

You sure about that? I swear the original had the same extra material. I just checked my DVD of the flick and it has the extras during the credits.
Weird, I’ll have to double-check when I get home from work then. Maybe I got a weird version of the disc without them or something.
I’m a little late posting back, but I did double-check my disc and verified it does not have those scenes. Mine is from 2001. Maybe one of the newer releases has them?

That’s the exact one that I have! Weird. So they are on the disc 1 for you for sure then? Do they play alongside the credits or are they shown just like in that youtube video?
Problem solved: The extras appear during the credits of the fullscreen version but not the widescreen version! Go figure!
The version I saw in the theater had the extra stuff running during the credits just like the fullscreen version on the DVD.
